Research Associate (Post-doc, f/m)

LISER is looking for a motivated full-time Research Associate (Post-doc) to support the FNR-CORE funded project « SYstemic firm traNsformation dEteRmined by Green and diGItal innovations: what are the key X-drivers behind this change (SYNERGIX) ». The project explores how firms adopt and integrate AI and green technology. The position will be based at the LISER premises in Luxembourg and will be supervised by the PI of the project, Dr. Michela Bia.

Your role

In this context, the successful candidate will have the following missions:

• Prepare dataset and identify key drivers of AI and green technology adoption at firm level ;
• Perform analysis to identify firm characteristics influencing technology investments, providing the empirical foundation ;
• Implement data refinement and prepare preliminary analyses ;
• Produce high-quality academic publications for peer-reviewed international journals and disseminate results.

Your profile

• PhD in economics or data science (or close to completion) ;
• Experience in big data analysis and processing pipelines ;
• Interest and experience in working on questions linked to the labour market of high policy and societal importance ;
• Solid knowledge in econometrics and quantitative methods ;
• Experience with High Performance Computing (HPC) environments, preferably MeluXina or similar supercomputing infrastructures.
• Excellent communication, collaboration skills and writing skills, for both scientific and more policy-oriented articles are required ;
• Excellent verbal communication and academic writing skills in English; some knowledge of German or French is considered as an asset.
