The Luxembourg Institute of Socio-Economic Research (LISER) is looking for a Project Management Officer specialised in the management of research projects (research project oriented) to ensure the smooth running of the lifecycle’s research projects.
Your role
You will have the following missions:
- Inform researchers about the Project Management Office's overall administrative process. Setting up, management and follow-up of research projects through the whole lifecycle until their completion (scientific, legal and valorisation aspects not included);
- Help research principal investigators (PIs) to develop their projects by taking all administrative matters (both internal and external);
- As general support for LISER projects and initiatives, contribute to all internal research initiatives within the institute;
- More specifically, as a Research Project Officer, have an in-depth knowledge of research proposals and mechanisms, processes and funding opportunities, through :

- - Monitoring and prospecting funding opportunities, their evolution and trends;
- - Collect data and feedback from researchers and funding bodies (current or potential);
- - Prepare and disseminate information to researchers, in particular on funding opportunities, specific guidelines and submission rules;
- - Based on the draft proposal and the submission guidelines, advise on key/strategic elements that can contribute to a successful submission and/or resubmission, incl. negotiation, modification and reforecasting.

- Work in coordination with the other team members to implement and improve the best practices.
Your profile
- Hold a Master's or PhD degree in a discipline related to the institute’s main expertise area, or have equivalent qualifications and/or professional experience;
- At least 5 years' professional experience in research project management and/or support to researchers (from the idea to post-contractual analysis, in line with the project's internal life cycle);
- Knowledge of research funding sources (particularly in Luxembourg and Europe);
- Excellent command of the Microsoft Office pack and software relating to database management or project management;
- Ability to manage priorities, deadlines, difficult questions and multiple projects simultaneously in a constantly changing environment;
- Demonstrate high level of autonomy and independence;
- Ability to collect, analyse and manage adequate numerical data;
- Facilitate and interact professionally with internal and external parties;
- Excellent oral and written communication skills;
- Excellent command of English and French, German and Luxembourgish are considered as an advantage.
