LISER invites qualified and motivated applications for this new position within our « Policy Lab » under the direct leadership of the Vice-CEO. The Policy Lab Senior Officer provides operational and administrative support on the day-to-day activities of the Policy Lab. The role focuses on the implementation and coordination of various activities, contributing to the smooth organisation of research projects, stakeholder interactions, and events, while ensuring adherence to established quality and research standards.

 

Under the scientific and strategic guidance of the Vice-CEO, the selected candidate will assist in facilitating internal coordination across LISER units, supports stakeholder engagement activities, and contributes to planning and logistical organisation. The position supports decision-making processes by preparing inputs and follow-up actions, thereby contributing to the effective delivery of the Policy Lab’s activities in line with LISER’s strategy and mission.

Your mission

  • Ensure the project coordination and operational support of the day-to-day implementation of activities and projects by coordinating workflows, timelines and contributions across internal and external parties ;
  • Contribute in maintaining relationships with policymakers and public administrations by supporting meetings, follow-ups and exchanges, helping to ensure continuity of dialogue and responsiveness to policy needs ;
  • Contribute to the organisation and implementation of communication, dissemination and knowledge transfer activities, supporting the preparation of policy-relevant outputs in accessible formats for institutional and societal audiences ;
  • Support the organisation of internal quality checks and review processes by coordinating inputs, feedback and validation steps, ensuring consistency and compliance with LISER’s scientific standards ;
  • Coordinate the operational management of the Policy Brief series, including scheduling, collection of inputs, review follow-up and publication logistics, in collaboration with internal and external parties ;
  • Facilitate the collaboration and exchanges between researchers and stakeholders to the co-production of policy-relevant research outputs and tools ;
  • Collect and synthesise feedback from Policy Lab activities and projects, contributing to continuous improvement of processes and outputs ;
  • Assist the Vice-CEO by preparing inputs, summaries and follow-up actions to make sure that all activities remain aligned with LISER’s objectives and institutional frameworks.

Your profile

  • Master degree or a Ph.D. in Public Policy, Social Sciences, Economics, or a related field ;
  • Previous experience in project coordination, preferably within a research institute, international organization, or public administration is required ;
  • Proven track record in managing complex projects involving multiple stakeholders ;
  • Ability to synthesize complex scientific findings into clear, "policy-ready" formats; experience in managing publication logistics (e.g., Policy Briefs) is highly desirable ;
  • Strong communication, collaboration and interpersonal skills with experience in organising and facilitating workshops and meetings between different stakeholders ;
  • A rigorous approach to quality assurance, with a high degree of attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining scientific and institutional standards ;
  • Excellent written and oral command of English. Knowledge of French, German or Luxembourgish is considered as an asset.
