Project description

 

LISER looking for a motivated Junior Research Analyst to support the FNR-CORE funded project «Techno Discrimination». The project investigates the impact of AI technologies to select job candidates in labor market discrimination outcomes. 

 

The position will be based at the LISER premises in Luxembourg and will be supervised by the PI of the project, Dr. Massimo Morelli, together with work package specific collaborators. The position offers unique learning opportunities, competitive economic conditions and the opportunity to engage with the research environment at LISER

Your role

 

In this context, the successful candidate will have the following missions:

  • Develop, train, and evaluate machine learning and deep learning models ;
  • Run and monitor GPU-based training experiments ;
  • Support reproducible research workflows and containerized environments.

Your profile

 

  • Master’s degree in computer science or a related discipline ;
  • Demonstrated programming skills in Python ;
  • Hands-on experience with the PyTorch library ;
  • Experience training machine learning/deep learning models on GPUs.
  • Fluency in English.

 

Preferred Skills

 

  • Experience with hyperparameter tuning and optimization techniques for deep learning models ;
  • Experience with High Performance Computing (HPC) environments, preferably MeluXina or similar supercomputing infrastructures ;
  • Familiarity with Docker containers and containerized workflows ;
  • Experience in Big data analysis and processing pipelines.
