Communications and Events Support Officer (f/m)
- Ref: 26-21
- Permanent employment contract (part-time, 20h/week)

The Luxembourg Institute of Socio-Economic Research is looking for a Communications and Events Support Officer to join a small and growing communications team, working in close collaboration with researchers and internal teams across the Institute as well as external institutional partners and stakeholders.
Your role
The successful candidate will have the following missions:
- Contribute to the operational planning and development, as well as to the hands-on execution of LISER's institutional communication plan to maximise visibility and impact;
- Assist the Senior Communications Manager in the organisation of institutional and academic events, both internal and external;
- Manage digital communication channels by creating editorial and engaging content for social networks and LISER’s website;
- Handle public and press relations by managing contact databases, creating newsletters and press releases and tracking media trends;
- Create, shoot, and produce video content;
- Track LISER's visibility across media, press, and social networks and analyse communication performance.
Please note that this list is not exhaustive, the selected candidate may be asked to perform other tasks related to his/her capabilities and falling within the scope of communication.
Your profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Communication, Public Affairs, Journalism or a related field, or equivalent professional experience ;
- At least 3 years of professional experience in a communications and events management role, ideally within a public, research, institutional or international environment ;
- Proven experience in content creation (e.g. Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) and video editing ;
- Strong command of social media platforms (LinkedIn, Instagram) and analytical tools, alongside experience managing website content via a CMS ;
- Proven experience in the full cycle of events management ;
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset ;
- Proactive problem-solver with strong organisational skills ;
- Excellent command of English and French, both written and spoken, any other language is considered as an asset.
